DOVES Receives $20,000 Mary Kay grant, plus others to sustain programs

DOVES is proud to receive a $20,000 grant from The Mary Kay Foundation. These funds will go towards helping us assist clients in our transitional living program and help them live independently and free from an abusive partner. We are also so grateful for San Manuel Band of Mission Indians for our $5,000 grant to also assist clients in our transitional living program, and the In & Out Burger Foundation for our $2,000 grant, which will also go toward our transitional living program.

In addition to support for our transitional living, we are thrilled to be the recipients of a $6,000 RedRover Relief Safe Housing grant which will allow our shelter to build on-site housing for pets of domestic violence victims. This project will include: pet access in two rooms, a fenced dog run with turf and a continued partnership with the VCA Lakeside Animal Hospital. The project will be completed in the Spring; stay tuned for photos of the completion!
