Lorrie’s House Gets Improvements Thanks to Community

This last month has seen a great deal of physical improvements around the house. Staff and clients are very excited about the changes: we were able to get new blinds in the dining room, living room, and the room next to our laundry room.  We also have new carpet in the office and our perimeter fence has been stained. This has never been done and it really looks fabulous. Thank you so much to Ken for tackling this job.

Our dog run is in the process of being completed. This week we are expecting the dog door to be installed and the artificial turf to be laid. We hope to be accepting clients with a dog or a cat soon.

Several months ago, we began working with Bear Valley Electric. They connected us with their energy efficiency program and this led to wonderful things happening around our house. They came out and assessed our needs and installed energy saving bulbs in all of our hanging light fixtures. Bear Valley Electric contracts with a nonprofit company, Proteus, Inc., and they next came out to our house to install several items that the energy assistance program decided that we qualified for.  We received a magic chef refrigerator, five exterior fixtures, three indoor light covers, 15 LED nightlights, and 15 fluorescent lights. The next day, they brought us two new microwaves. We are also going to be getting water efficient toilets at a date in the future.

We are so very grateful to everyone who make all of these improvements possible. Several were long anticipated and all are sincerely appreciated.
